Pushkar and Rakshit Shetty promised to give good and entertaining films for Sandlawood with their production house and it looks like they have kept their promise. After giving great films in the form of “Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu”, “Kirik Party” and “Humble Politician Nograj”, the team is back with “Katheyondu Shurvuvagide”.

The film is about Tarun (played by Diganth) who has a resort which is not doing very well. He gets a customer in form of Tanya. The story is about how the two fall in love. Along with this, there are two more love stories. One is that of an aging couple, and the other is between workers at the resort. The film is about relationships between people of different age groups.

Seena Hegde is making his debut as a director in Sandalwood with this film. He has done an excellent job. He is technically very sound and we can see that in the film. Even though the film begins slow, he makes sure that it does not lag much and this is thanks to the good screenplay. Hats off to him. It looks like Sandalwood has got another big director.

Coming to the acting, Diganth shines in the role of a frustrated man. He is undoubtedly the most underrated actor in Sandalwood and needs to act in films with good content. Romcoms are his plus point and he must continue to act in such films. Pooja Devariya, who is making her debut in Sandalwood with this film, is great. She has done justice to her character.

Ashwin Rao Pallakki, Babu Hirannaiah, Aruna Balaraj and Shreya Anchan are great in the film. They all do their characters justice, however, if we have select the best performer in the film, then it has to be Ashwin Rao Pallakki. He shines in his role. We saw his wonderful performance in “Kirik Party” and with this film, he will surely be the next big thing in Sandalwood. His comic timing is excellent and his performance as Pedro is an asset to the film.

The music is pleasant to the ears. Technically the film is excellent. Full marks to the art director, editor and cameraman. Please go and watch the film. It may end up becoming a modern day classic.
