Bengaluru: Kishan Shrikanth who bagged a Guinness World Record at the age of nine for directing the full-length feature film C/o Footpath in Kannada will direct his first English film Golden Triangle at the age of 19. The poster of the film was launched at the recent Cannes Film Festival. The film will also be made in Hindi and Telugu and have a south Indian star in the lead role apart from actors and technicians from US and France.
This will be Kishan’s third film as director after C/o Footpath and its sequel which is under production. The film is being produced by Satish Reddy, Rizwan Khan and Dinesh Chugh and is said to have a budget of Rs 70 crore and will be made in both 2D and Imax 3D. Since the protagonist of the story is from south India, a star from this region will play the lead. But the identity of the star is kept a secret as of now.
Speaking to BM, Kishan said that he is thrilled at the prospect and this will be one of the biggest films made in India. “The film brings together some of the best talent and big names from across the world. Some of the best Hollywood technicians are part of this project. Golden Triangle is my biggest and most fascinating job till date and I am all pumped up. Of course there are more details that will be revealed eventually,” he said.
Some of the Hollywood technicians in the film according to the producers are Eric Curtis who was director of photography for films like Terminator Salvation and Transporter 2, Choreographer Longinus Fernandes of Slumdog Millionaire and Eat Pray Love fame. Hollywood actors Jeremy Williams and Catherine Delaloye (Fast and Furious 6) will be acting in the film Kishan said.
