Sudeep’s ‘Kotigobba 2’ has released to great response. The film which released today had housefull morning shows. In Bengaluru, many theatres had early morning shows at 7, which were packed with audience. The word of mouth for the film is excellent. Sudeep has proved that he is ‘Abhinaya Chakravarthy’ with his act in the film.
The film is about a robber and innocent man, both played by Sudeep. The film tells the tale of duo. Along with this, there is also a romantic angle, wherein Sudeep’s character falls in love with Nitya Menon. Sadhu Kokila and Chikanna have made sure that the comedy flow in the film does not dip a bit.
Ravishankar rocks in his character as cop. First half of the film is excellent. Whereas the second half is good. The portions involving Prakash Rai could have been handled better. Little bit of editing in second half would have made the film better. However the climax makes up for the flaws in second half.
Sudeep is awesome in the film. His fans will love the film. Acting in ‘original’ film after back to back remake films, Sudeep has shown his caliber. The film is technically good. Thumbs up for director Ravikumar to bounce back after directing poor films like ‘Lingaa’ and ‘Policegiri’.
The music of the film is a letdown. The background music is good. All in all, the film is good. With many holidays in next week, we can expect bumper collections.
