We had recently revealed that Nikhil’s second film as an actor will have a new heroine. And it seems the makers of the film have almost finalised the female lead. According to sources in Gandhinagar, Latha Hegde has been selected as his heroine.
Latha Hegde is a Kannada-speaking girl, who has been introduced by director Mahesh Babu for his yet-to-be-titled project, where she is paired opposite Chethan. The makers are impressed by her looks and acting skills and have approached her for the film.
Latha has already become busy in Sandalwood. Even though her first film is not yet complete, she has already bagged two more Kannada films, “Gelayana Gelathi” and “Utsav”. This will be her fourth film, if she signs it.
The Nikhil-starrer film, which is all set to go on floors from mid-May, has V Harikrishna as its music director and Sreesha Kuduvalli as cinematographer. It has Deepu as editor, A Harsha as choreographer and Ravi Santhehaiklu as art director.
Former CM H D Kumarswamy, who is producing the film has decided to go with local talents for the film. His last film “Jaguar” was said to be too dependent on Telugu technicians and artistes, which was criticised by certain section of audience as well as media.
