The Cannes Film Festival is an annual event held in Cannes, France, where new films of all genres, including documentaries from all around the world, are previewed. Founded in 1946, the invitation-only festival is held annually (usually in May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. It is one of the “Big Three”, alongside the Venice Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival. Now, the film of a Sandalwood actress will be screened here.
“Lohardaga”, a Hindi film that revolves around the life of a young boy who gradually takes the path of Maoism due to various social and economic issues, has been screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Among the cast of the film is Sandalwood actress Kaajal Kunder, who plays a small role. The cast also includes Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raaz and many others. The film has received international acclaim now and will surely rocket Kaajal’s career.
Meanwhile, Kaajal is busy promoting her Kannada film “Mayakannadi”, whose teaser was released recently. The film will be released across theatres in the month of June.
