“Ondu Motteya Kathe” to be made in Tamil soon

“Ondu Motteya Kathe”, which released last week is doing extraordinary business. The film, which was made by a bunch of newcomers based in Mangaluru has been loved by all. The collections of the film is also going steady. Sandalwood celebrities including Puneeth Rajkumar, Ganesh, Rakshit Shetty, Karthik Gowda and Rishab Shetty have praised the film. The popularity of the film has led multiplexes and single theatres to double the number of shows. Meanwhile, from this Friday, the film will open to extra 25 single screens, which will raise the total to 42 single screens.

And now Kollywood is all set to remake “Ondu Motteya Kathe”. The film which has released in Chennai, was viewed by distributors who now want to get the remake rights of the film. The distributors feel that the film which was made on small budget can rake in revenue in Tamil Nadu as well.

This movie is about a bald man searching for a suitable girl. The narration of the story has impressed critics as well, with most of critics rating the film with 4 stars. The film, which has Mangaluru Kannada language spoken did not have any distributor to back it, few months back. However, popular director Pawan Kumar acquired the film and this led to increase in awareness of the film. The first day collections of the film were poor, but due to good reviews, there was a big leap in collections from second day.
