Writer-journalist Ravi Belagere’s most sought after book, “Omerta” will soon get a big screen adaption. The makers of “Gultoo” have managed to get the rights for the project and the yet-to-be-titled film will go on floors in July. The film will be directed by Janardhan Chikkanna and Anish Tejeshwar will play the lead.
Many people were eyeing the rights, which is set against the backdrop of the underworld. The makers of the film met with Ravi Belagere, who gave them the rights to adapt it to the big screen.
This news has taken Gandhinagar by storm as Janardhan Chikkanna made a huge impact with “Gultoo”, which did extremely well at the box office, even though its entire cast was made up of newcomers.
Ravi Belagere’s has always been connected to the Sandalwood film industry.He has directed many films and is also known to be a big critic of film personalities. He has also accused directors of using his story without taking his permission.
