It looks like Kannada films are really impressing Bollywood production houses. Recently, the Hindi version “KGF” was taken up for distribution by Farhan Akhtar in North India. And now, there are rumours that Shivrajkumar-starrer “Rustum” is likely to have a Hindi version which will be released alongside the Kannada version.
“Rustum” is the directorial debut of stunt director Ravi Varma, who is a big name in the Hindi film industry. He has worked as a stunt director for films of popular Bollywood stars such as Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. He has great contacts in Bollywood, which is said to be the reason why a Bollywood production house is showing interest in “Rustum”.
Another Bollywood connection for the Shivrajkumar-starrer is Vivek Oberoi, who is making his Sandalwood debut with this film. Even though Oberoi’s screen time is less, his character will be pivotal to the film.
Jayanna and Bhogendra are producing the film under the Jayanna Combines banner. The film also has Shraddha Srinath, Rachita Ram, RJ Rohit, Shivamani and Mayuri in pivotal roles.
