Bengaluru: In a medical report produced by Apollo Hospital on Tuesday June 15, actor Sanchari Vijay was declared dead at 3.34 a.m. Seven donees profited from the donation of his organs.
Mortal remains of Sanchari Vijay will be kept at Ravindra Kalakshetra campus for public visit from between 8 to 10 am. His last rites will be performed later today in his hometown of Kadur, Chikkamagaluru district.
Vijay was riding pillion on a bike with his friend Naveen when it skidded and collided with an electric pole in J. P. Nagar 7th Phase, a southern Bengaluru area where he lived. Vijay was gravely injured on the right side of his head and in the thigh region, while Naveen fractured his leg. On Saturday around 11.45 p.m, the accident occurred.
After his accident, Vijay was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Apollo Hospital in Bengaluru, where he was treated. After a surgery, the hospital declared the actor having a brain failure on Monday noon and soon after this the actor’s family too declared that they have decided to donate his organs in the light of the irreversible brain damage.
