Looks like the stupendous success of “Raambo 2” has made the makers go ahead with more films in the franchise. “Raambo 2”, which was released three weeks back, has been a big hit. The film has been doing well at the box office not only in Karnataka but, also in the United States of America, where it was released this week.
Starring Sharan in the lead, the film featured Ashika Ranganath, Chikkanna, Sadhu Kokila and Ravi Shankar. “Raambo” was released in 2012 and was Sharan’s first film as a hero. It took six years for the sequel to come out and the reception has been the same, making it a huge hit. Taking all this into consideration, Tarun Sudhir, who was creative head of both the films, is planning to make the film a franchise.
In Bollywood, we usually see franchise films coming up. However, it is a rarity in the Sandalwood industry. In recent times, three parts on “Dandupalya” have been made. However, only the first part of the film was a success and the other two failed. Meanwhile, the makers of “Raambo 2”, which was produced by technicians have decided to produce the film in a similar manner, wherein all technicians will pool in money and not take any remuneration for their work.
