The sandalwood industry which is hit by the ongoing COVID pandemic is looking for a quick revival as the woes of unemployed artists and technicians are increasing day by day.
A meeting was convened at Shiva Rajkumar’s residence attended by all associate bodies of the Kannada Film Industry and after deliberation took a decision to choose Dodamane Hirimaga Shiva Rajkumar as its leader to drive a committee formed for the purpose of handling the current situation arisen from the pandemic. The committee will look into various options to get the industry activities back on track to support its dependents.
The meeting was attended by Karnataka Film Producers Association President Praveen Kumar, Workers Association President Ashok, Commerce Board Vice President Umesh Banakar, Cameramen’s Association President JJ Krishna, Senior Director Rajendra Sigh Babu, Actor Sadhu Kokila, Music Director GuruKiran, Producers A Ganesh, Jayanna Bogendra, M G Ramamurthy, K P Srikanth, Surappa Babu, Sa Ra Govindu, K Manu, M N Suresh, Ba Ma Harish and other attended the meeting.
