Popular TV personality Srujna Lokesh hurt the sentiments of Tuluvas with his comment on Bhootaradhane. In the recently held episode, audience of his “Maja Talkies” show asked Srujan what is the difference between government job and private job.
Replying to this Srujan said that government job is god’s work whereas private job referring to BPO is Bhootaradhane, as both are done at night.
This comparison has not gone well with people from Tulunadu. Many Tulu pages on Facebook have condemned the statement. Commenting about this, Akshay, youth from Mangaluru says, “It was not at all necessary for Srujan to make such a statement. He should apologise for his statement. People of Tulunadu love him a lot. Whenever he comes to Mangaluru, we have showered him with love. This comparison was not at all needed.”
Sanjana, a student says, “It is really disappointing. I never expected Srujan to give this statement. It is more shocking that many people from Tulunadu are also part of this show. Celebrities like Naveen Padil, Manohar and Mohan are all from Tulunadu. They must have stopped the telecast of this particular portion.”
The statement has irked the people of Tulunadu. Let us see whether Srujan will apologise for this statement or not.
