Prem’s upcoming directorial, “The Villain” has already raked in good business. The film which has Shivarajkumar, Sudeepa and Amy Jackson in lead roles is one of the most expected films in Sandalwood. According to sources, Zee Kannada has bagged the satellite rights for Kannada version at Rs 7.3 crore. This will be the highest amount paid for a Kannada film until now.
The film has also fetched 5.4 crores for satellite rights of Hindi dubbed version. Kiccha Sudeepa is a well known star in Hindi markets, which is said to be the reason for the film bagging such a big amount. With satellite fetching Rs 12.7 crores in two languages, producer C Manohar has recovered a huge amount, which he had invested.
Meanwhile, director Prem who is back from London is currently in Mumbai hunting for a location to set the first song shoot with Kiccha Sudeepa. The film, produced by CR Manohar, also features senior actor Mithun Chakraborty, Telugu actor Srikanth and Sruthi Hariharan among others.
