Millions of fans of the Rajkumar family have always wanted to see the superstar brothers- Shivrajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar together on the big screen. However, such a collaboration has not yet materialised. But, if Suri has his way, this wish of the fans may soon become a reality. Suri himself has revealed this at the 100-day function of “Tagaru”.
In the past, a corporate production house had announced that they will cast all the three sons of Dr. Rajkumar in a film. However, the production house had to shut down due to financial problems and the film was scrapped. Later, popular stunt master Ravi Varma announced that he will be making a film starring Shivrajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar in lead roles. However, there was not much news after the announcement and the film was scrapped.
Now, Suri has said that he may cast Puneeth in the sequel of “Tagaru”. Suri, who is close to both the stars, has revealed that he is presently working on the script that will feature the brothers. If the script is on par with his expectations, he will approach the duo. Suri has not revealed whether Puneeth will be seen in a negative role opposite Shivrajkumar, or if he will be playing a parallel lead.
Suri feels that a film starring Shivrajkumar and Puneeth will take Sandalwood to the next level. Let us hope that this time, the fans’ dream will come true.
