Shivarajkumar’s “Tagaru” is all set to become the biggest hit of his career. The star, who was known for giving blockbuster films had not yet made an exclusive blockbuster for few years. Even though his last film “Mufti” was a blockbuster, it was a multistarrer. “Tagaru”, in which he played the lead, is running to packed houses.
The mass film has surprised everyone in the business and is running to housefull board in single screens as well as multiplexes across Karnataka. The film has done well across India too. It was also released in the USA from March 8 and will be screened across 25 cities including Chicago, Philadelphia, and Atlanta among other places.
According to producer K P Srikanth, the film has all the chances to collect Rs. 50 crores. He said that if the film performs the same way for next few days, it will surely gross Rs. 50 crores. In Sandalwood, the only film to have collected more than 50 crores is “Raajakumara”. Yash’s “Mr and Mrs Ramachari” and Ganesh’s “Mungaaru Male” have come close to this mark but, they could not enter the club. It would be interesting to see, if “Tagaru” joins the club.
