‘Premier Padmini’ is one of the successful cinemas that released recently in Kannada. It also got good reviews from the audience, but now there is a controversy regarding the movie.

It is alleged that the role of ‘Nanjundi’ in the movie was taken from an essay written by writer Vasudendra.

According to the writer, he was once approached by the film director seeking his permission to make a film out of his essay ‘ Nanjundi’ and had also fixed the remuneration, but later no one returned.

But later he got a call from the director of the film saying that his essay was an inspiration to the director while filming ‘Premier Padmini’ and whether he could use it in the title card.

The writer was now annoyed as the scenes of his essay were used in the film without his permission. The writer alleges that many scenes of the role ‘Nanjundi’ was taken directly from his essay.
