Mysuru: Sandalwood actor Zaid Khan and Banaras film team organised a yatra on Sunday October 30 from Bengaluru to Mysuru ahead of release of film Banaras on Friday November 4.
This is the first film starred by Zaid Khan and will be on screen in five languages nationwide. Banaras has been brought to the fore on a pan-India level in the most systematic way and in order to create excitement in the last moments, Zaid has started a pilgrimage to promote Banaras.
The Banaras Yatra that left Bengaluru then proceeded towards Mysuru road, Zaid went to the temple of Gaali Anjaneya and paid obeisance, then continued on the road to Rajarajeshwarinagara, Kengeri. This huge Banaras Yatra gathered near Shashi Thatte Idli Hotel in Bidadi. It was there that Zaid Khan, along with the team had finished their breakfast and started their journey towards Ramanagara District. There too, a road show was conducted for the promotion of Banaras in the presence of huge audience and fans.
After that, Zaid also visited Kengal Anjaneya Swamy Temple and then the Banaras Yatra reached Chennapattana. A grand road show was held there too. Zaid also visited temples and dargahs there. He attended a platform programme there. After having lunch at Channapattana, Banaras yatra moved towards Mandya.
Passing from Maddur to Mandya, there too a road show was held under Zaid’s leadership. Zaid also visited the temple Dargahs there and reached Srirangapattana around five o’clock. Zaid went to Chamundi Hill, and offered pooja at Chamundeshwari tyemple. After that, a grand road show was held in City. Later, Zaid returned to Bengaluru with his team and fans. After completing a round of Bengaluru-Mysuru Yatra, the team left for Bengaluru.
The reaction of the people for the Banaras Yatra has raised hopes for the film team.
