South film has a loyal fan base overall. All across India, there is a sizable fan base and celebrity. I will always be loved by the northern audience, who also appreciates dubbed South films. The stars are trying to learn Hindi fluently, though, in order to give us authenticity in the role rather than dubbing their roles, even as the North and South Cinemas work together to bring us big hits. Here are some South actors who have proven their Hindi language proficiency, ranging from NTR Jr. to Vijay Sethupathi.
NTR Jr
Although the audience was taken aback by NTR Jr.’s command of the Hindi language, it is well known that the Man of the Masses is gifted in many areas. The actor was spotted publicly displaying his Hindi during the film’s RRR promotion. And in his next movie, “Devara,” we will witness him speak Hindi with impressive fluency. The actor, who has dubbed the movie into five languages, including Hindi, will undoubtedly steal the show with his superb voice acting.
Vijay Sethupathi
The audience loved Vijay Sethupathi in the ‘Jawaan’ and was right to say so. The actor always strives to constantly improve his Hindi by trying to learn the language fluently. When the actor was asked about his Hindi skills during interviews with Farzi, he even replied, “Meri Hindi kafi achchi ho gayi hai. I’ve been working on it.”
Dhanush
Dhanush’s charming accent and fluent Hindi speaking are evident in films such as “Atrangi Re” and “Raanjhanaa.” The actor has previously stated that he finds it difficult to dictate the scripts while dubbing and that he struggles to get his Hindi skills right.
Dulquer Salmaan
As seen in ‘Sita Ramam’, Dulquer Salmaan has done well with his Hindi speaking skills. The audience surprised him with his command of Hindi and he agrees that Hindi is easier for him than Telugu. The actor was seen flaunting his Hindi in the thriller web series ‘Guns & Gulaabs’.
