The India International Coffee Festival (IICF), presented by the Specialty Coffee Association of India (SCAI) and supported by the Coffee Board of India, is set to brew excitement across three cities—Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru—in October 2024. Following the success of the 2023 World Coffee Conference in Bengaluru, which attracted over 20,000 visitors, this festival promises to be an even grander affair.
The festival will commence with preliminary events in Delhi (October 4-6), Mumbai (October 11-13), and conclude in Bengaluru (October 28-30), culminating in a final event from December 13-15, where India’s national coffee champion will be crowned.
Designed for a diverse audience—from industry professionals like growers and roasters to coffee enthusiasts—the festival will offer a rich showcase of India’s coffee culture. Attendees can expect a variety of specialty coffee stalls, workshops, competitions, and engaging activities that celebrate the artistry and passion of coffee.
Competitions will include the National Barista Championship, the Brewers Cup Championship, and the Coffee in Good Spirits competition, showcasing skills from both baristas and bartenders. These events aim to foster community, collaboration, and innovation within the coffee sector, highlighting the evolving trends in the industry.
With excitement building, industry leaders see the festival as a vital opportunity for networking and sharing knowledge. Hamsini Appadurai, owner of Sangameshwar Coffee Estates, expressed, “The festival is the perfect platform to bring industry leaders together for knowledge sharing.”
As IICF aims to deepen the understanding of coffee culture in India, it also positions the country as a significant player in the global coffee landscape, ensuring an event filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable experiences.
