Bagalkote: The family of Pavadashetty of Cholachagudda in Badami Taluk has done the job of introducing Indian culture and traditions to a foreign woman who had come to Badami for rock climbing.
Marshela, a foreign woman from Brazil, was invited to the house for the wedding ceremony and made to dress as per our traditions, with vermilion on her forehead, green bangles on her hands and turmeric on her cheeks. Marshela was also very excited about it and joined all the women in the celebrations.
Brazil’s Marshela, who came to Badami for rock club, lives in a rented house in Cholachagudda. Sharathachandra, son of Basavaraj Pavadashetty’s brother, who lives next to his house, is getting married on February 20. Marshela, who was staying in a rented house, was invited to the bangle ceremony on the occasion of the wedding.
Marshela, who came to the ceremony, wearing a saree as per Indian tradition, was also dressed in dandihara and kumkum. Aarti was lit by the women of the Pavadashetty family to introduce her to our culture and traditions. The incident caught everyone’s attention.
