The organization B Human from Mangaluru became a ray of hope for 69-year-old Balan who was stuck in the City during the lockdown last year.
Balan who came from Payyanur, Kerala to Mangaluru in search of a job to provide for his wife Parvati and daughter Sheeba, was in distress with having no way to return home without any proper transportation or money, in the time of coronavirus pandemic.
During this time, he had also severely injured his leg in a car accident. Even after getting discharged from the hospital, he couldn’t find any means to fend himself that led him to beg in the streets. He did not call back home to inform them of his plight as he was hoping to get a job to feed his family. He was living on the footpaths of Noor Masjid in Mangalore and the Imam of the Masjid who saw his condition, informed the B Human organization members.
Team B Human who saw his misery rescued him from the streets and took care of his hospital and living needs. Almost for three weeks, the team took care of all the needs of Balan.
After he was sufficiently better, he expressed to the team that he wished to go back home. The team readily agreed and took him to his home in Payyanur, Kerala. The family members expressed their utmost gratitude towards the team that took care of Balan. He reached the safety of his home and assured that he will never forget the kindness that was bestowed upon him by team B Human.
