Dubai: Praveen Shetty, Chairman and Managing Director of Fortune Group of Hotels, Dubai has been selected for this year’s State Rajyotsava award under the category – Horanaada Kannadigaru (Overseas Kannadigas).
The award has been befitting given his achievements due to sheer commitment to his profession, determination and exemplary leadership qualities. Shetty hails from Koteshwar, Kundapur in Udupi District and is deeply attached to his roots. Apart from excellence in business he is also known for his philanthropy.
Dr. Sunita Shetty from Mumbai, Chandrashekhar Palthady, and Dr. Siddarameshwar Kanitkar are the other awardees in this category.
Kannada and Culture Department Minister V. Sunil Kumar announced the list of organisations and achievers who would be accorded with this year’s State Rajyotsava awards.
