Dubai: Pakistan has canceled its scheduled pre-match press conference ahead of the Asia Cup Super Four clash against India, raising eyebrows ahead of the high-stakes encounter. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) did not provide a reason for the cancellation, sparking speculation among fans and analysts.

This marks the second consecutive time Pakistan has skipped a pre-match press briefing in the tournament. Earlier, the team had refrained from attending a press conference before their match against the United Arab Emirates, following a handshake controversy involving match referee Andy Pycroft.

In preparation for the upcoming clash, Pakistan has brought in motivational speaker Dr. Raheel to conduct sessions aimed at boosting player morale. The team is also scheduled for a training session at the ICC Academy in Dubai later in the evening.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has appointed Andy Pycroft as the match referee for the India-Pakistan game. Despite the earlier controversy, he will oversee the high-profile encounter.

The press conference cancellation has drawn criticism, with some suggesting that Pakistan’s actions may breach Asia Cup rules regarding media obligations. With tensions running high, all eyes are now on the teams’ on-field performance and off-field conduct as the match approaches.
