During the second ODI between India and England at Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium, an endearing exchange between Virat Kohli and two ball boys captured widespread attention.

While patrolling the boundary, Kohli strolled toward the youngsters and reached out his hands. Thrilled beyond measure, the boys eagerly clasped the cricketing icon’s hands, with one even celebrating with an enthusiastic double fist pump.

The delightful moment was filmed and later posted by England’s fan club, Barmy Army, on X (formerly Twitter), captioned, “Awesome, this.”

Kohli, who sat out the series opener due to a knee concern, returned for the second match but endured a tough outing, managing only five runs from eight deliveries before Adil Rashid dismissed him in the 20th over.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma spearheaded India’s pursuit of 305 runs with a blistering knock of 119 from 90 balls, smashing 12 boundaries and seven sixes. Leading the team for the 50th time in ODIs, Rohit registered his 32nd century in the format, steering India to triumph.

In a video shared by the BCCI, Rohit reflected on his innings, emphasizing experience and self-belief. “I’ve played long enough to understand my role. It’s just about executing my game,” he stated.

India clinched a four-wicket victory, wrapping up the series 2-0 with one game remaining in Ahmedabad on February 12.
