Haryana Steelers Top the Table with 32-26 Win Over Bengaluru Bulls
Haryana Steelers bounced back to winning form with a dominant 32-26 victory over Bengaluru Bulls in Match 68 of PKL 11, reclaiming the top spot on the points table. The match, played at Noida Indoor Stadium on Thursday, saw a stellar performance from Vinay, who led the charge with a Super 10. Bengaluru Bulls, on the other hand, continued their winless run, now having lost five consecutive matches.
Vinay started strong for Haryana, scoring their first four points, while Pardeep Narwal put Bengaluru Bulls on the scoreboard. Despite an initial fast pace, the match soon saw Haryana asserting their dominance, extending their lead to five points thanks to Shivam Patare’s contribution. Mohammadreza Shadloui’s two-point raid added further pressure on Bengaluru, as Haryana inflicted an All-Out on them, doubling their lead in no time.
Bengaluru Bulls showed signs of life towards the end of the first half, with Akshit pulling off a successful Do-or-Die Raid and Parteek tackling Shivam Patare, but they still trailed 12-21 by halftime.
In the second half, Bengaluru Bulls mounted a brief comeback, with Jai Bhagwan executing an All-Out to reduce the deficit to five points. However, Vinay’s continued brilliance in raiding kept Haryana Steelers in control, securing his Super 10 and maintaining a steady lead. Despite a late Super Tackle by Bengaluru Bulls, they could not close the gap as Haryana ran down the clock and sealed a six-point victory.
