London: Former IPL chairman Lalit Modi has shared a fascinating behind-the-scenes story about how Chris Gayle got his breakthrough with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after going unsold in the Indian Premier League 2011 auction.
According to Modi, a desperate call from Gayle prompted him to personally intervene and help the West Indies star find a team—eventually changing the course of IPL history.
