New Delhi: A fire broke out in a hotel in Delhi’s Dwarka neighbourhood where MS Dhoni was staying along with Jharkhand state cricket team inmates Friday morning.
All the team members have been evacuated safely from the hotel however the team’s kit has apparently been reduced to ashes. The team was in the city to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy semi-final. They were supposed to face Bengal on Friday, but the match has been postponed to Saturday.
As per reports the Delhi Fire Services got a call around 6:30am alerting them there was a fire inside the WelcomHotel, which is located in Sector 10, Dwarka. As many as 30 fire tenders were sent to the spot and the fire was brought under control at 7:50am. No other casualties were reported in the fire.
