The eagerly awaited Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 will now be held on July 5, shifting from its earlier date of May 24, according to an announcement by JSW Sports. The change was made due to security concerns and to reflect national unity during a delicate time.
Hosted at Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava Stadium, the tournament represents India’s inaugural international javelin event, officially sanctioned by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) and championed by Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra. The event is poised to place India on the global athletics map, showcasing top-tier international javelin talent.
JSW Sports CCO Karan Yadav remarked, “Reinstating the event so swiftly was a massive team effort. July 5 promises a javelin showcase that’s grander, sharper, and more thrilling than before.”
Ticketing details: Passes are available via District by Zomato and remain valid for those who haven’t sought refunds. Prices span from ₹199 to ₹9,999, appealing to fans of varied budgets. Premium spots beside the javelin runway cost ₹9,999, while the North Upper Stand is priced at ₹2,999. Corporate boxes for 15 are set at ₹44,999, with 10% discounts for Visa cardholders.
With a 12,000+ seating capacity and World Athletics Gold Label recognition, the Neeraj Chopra Classic is positioned as a milestone event for Indian track and field, honouring Chopra’s enduring legacy and motivating future sports stars.
