MR Poovamma, Olympian and Arjuna awardee, has shared her future aspiration of establishing a sports academy after her retirement. Speaking at the ‘Press Club Guest of Honour’ event organized by the Mangaluru Press Club, Poovamma expressed her desire to continue her athletic career for a few more years before fully dedicating herself to the academy.
Poovamma emphasized that age should not be a limitation for athletes and encouraged the idea that with dedication, one can excel at any stage of life. She also reflected on her Olympic journey, noting the challenges and experiences, especially in her latest attempt in Paris where she and her team fell short of their expectations.
