Headed by Rohit Sharma in the 2023 World Cup final, Australia defeated India in a sad match. India took three early wickets while defending a target of 241, but after the first powerplay, Australia was unstoppable. The chase was finished in 43 overs because to Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne’s easy rotation of the strike.

In recognition of his century, Head received the Player of the Match Award. The World Cup trophy was given to Pat Cummins by Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the match.

Few Indian players could not control their emotions and broke down after the match. Taking note of the situation, PM Modi decided to lift the team’s morale and visited the dressing room. He met the players and boosted their confidence. Modi had a special praise for Mohammed Shami, who finished as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker.

After the game, a few Indian players lost control of their emotions and started crying. Observing the circumstances, PM Modi made the decision to visit the dressing room in an effort to boost team morale. He gave the players more confidence after meeting them. Mohammed Shami, who ended as the tournament’s best wicket-taker, received particular recognition from Modi.
