A cryptic social media post allegedly shared by Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw’s fiancée, Akriti Agarwal, has sparked widespread speculation about their relationship. While the post quickly went viral, neither Shaw nor Akriti has publicly addressed the rumours.

Akriti, an actress and social media influencer, allegedly shared a now-deleted Instagram story claiming she had been “cheated so many times” and suggesting that “every rumour is true”. Although she did not mention Shaw by name, the post led many social media users to speculate that it referred to the cricketer.

Cryptic post fuels speculation

According to reports, Akriti wrote, “I got cheated on so many times, yet I never said a word. Still can’t believe that after taking one step ahead.”

In another alleged post, she wrote, “Everything is true; every rumour is true. What you see on social media about him.”

Despite the speculation, there has been no official confirmation of any disagreement between the couple. Akriti has reportedly neither unfollowed Shaw on Instagram nor removed photographs from their engagement, indicating that the rumours remain unverified.

Couple got engaged earlier this year

Prithvi Shaw and Akriti Agarwal got engaged in March 2026 after being in a long-term relationship. The engagement was widely celebrated by fans and members of the cricket fraternity.

As of now, neither Shaw nor Akriti has issued a statement clarifying the social media posts or responding to the ongoing speculation.

Shaw focused on cricket comeback

Away from his personal life, Shaw continues to focus on reviving his cricket career. Although he was part of the Delhi Capitals squad during IPL 2026, he did not feature in a single match.

The former India Under-19 World Cup-winning captain has spoken openly about working hard to regain his place in Indian cricket, saying he remains determined to earn a national team comeback through improved fitness and consistent performances.

Until either Shaw or Akriti comments publicly, the speculation surrounding their relationship remains just that—speculation
