
St. Philomena PU College Student Wins Bronze at National Javelin Day Competitions
Mangaluru: Ahijith K M, a second-year HEPS student at St. Philomena PU College, has achieved a significant milestone by securing the bronze medal in the javelin throw event at the 3rd National Javelin Day Competitions & Kids Athletics Meet-2024. Held at Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru, on August 3, the event was organized by the Karnataka Athletics Association.
Ahijith demonstrated remarkable skill and dedication, achieving an impressive throw of 52.67 meters in the boys’ under-18 category. His success is a testament to his hard work and the expert training he received from physical education directors Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya.
The achievement has been widely celebrated by the college community. Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas, the correspondent, and Fr. Ashok Rayan Crasta, the principal, have both extended their heartfelt congratulations to Ahijith for his outstanding performance.
