New Delhi: Apple has made its latest Mac mini and Mac Studio desktop computers available in India, expanding its lineup with the new M6, M5 Pro, M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips. The new machines are designed for a wide range of users, from students and everyday customers to developers, creative professionals and businesses.
The updated desktops bring stronger on-device AI capabilities, higher performance and support for Apple’s latest software platform, macOS 27 Golden Gate. The new Apple Intelligence features include an AI-powered Siri and additional tools designed to work across apps and user content.
The new Mac mini and Mac Studio are available through Apple Store locations, the Apple Store online, the Apple Store app and Apple Authorised Resellers.
Apple Mac mini price in India
The new Mac mini with the M6 chip starts at Rs 99,900 in India, while the Mac mini with M5 Pro starts at Rs 2,09,900.
For education buyers, the M6-powered Mac mini starts at Rs 88,900, while the M5 Pro version starts at Rs 1,97,900.
Apple is also offering services including Trade In, shopping and setup support, build-to-order configurations and business support. Customers can also attend Today at Apple sessions covering areas such as photography, music and coding.
Mac mini gets M6 and M5 Pro options
The new Mac mini with M6 is positioned as a compact desktop for users ranging from students and everyday customers to developers, creative professionals and businesses.
The M6 configuration features a 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU with Neural Accelerators in each core and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says the new chip delivers up to four times faster AI performance, twice the graphics and storage performance, and up to 40 per cent faster CPU performance compared with the previous generation.
The Mac mini starts with 16GB of unified memory and can be configured with up to 32GB. Memory bandwidth reaches up to 170GB per second.
For users with more demanding workloads, Apple offers the Mac mini with M5 Pro. This version can be configured with up to an 18-core CPU, 20-core GPU and 64GB of unified memory, with memory bandwidth of up to 307GB per second.
Both Mac mini configurations support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and 2.5Gb Ethernet, while customers can also opt for 10Gb Ethernet.
Mac Studio targets professional workloads
The Mac Studio is designed for professionals working on demanding tasks such as real-time 3D, motion graphics, video production and AI applications.
The M5 Max-powered Mac Studio features an 18-core CPU and can be configured with up to a 40-core GPU with Neural Accelerators in each core. It supports up to 128GB of unified memory.
At the top of the range is the Mac Studio with M5 Ultra, which can be configured with up to a 36-core CPU, an 80-core GPU and 512GB of unified memory. Memory bandwidth reaches up to 1.2 terabytes per second.
Apple says the M5 Ultra configuration is designed for demanding professional workloads, including real-time colour grading of uncompressed 8K footage, complex visual-effects rendering and running large language models locally on the device.
The Mac Studio with 512GB of unified memory will be available in late October.
Mac Studio prices start at Rs 2.79 lakh
The new Mac Studio with M5 Max starts at Rs 2,79,900 in India. The M5 Ultra version starts at Rs 6,29,900, making it the most expensive configuration in the updated desktop range.
Both Mac Studio models feature Thunderbolt 5, with transfer speeds of up to 120GB per second. Apple says the desktop can support up to eight displays, including up to four Studio Display XDR units running at full 5K resolution and 120Hz.
Apple Intelligence comes to the new Macs
The new Mac mini and Mac Studio run macOS 27 Golden Gate, bringing new Apple Intelligence capabilities to Apple’s desktop computers.
The updated Siri can use context from messages, emails and photos, work across applications and respond to questions about information displayed on the user’s screen.
Apple Intelligence also brings features such as Safari tab organisation, website alerts, Shortcuts automations and advanced photo-editing capabilities.
With the latest chips and expanded memory configurations, Apple is positioning the Mac mini as a compact desktop for mainstream and professional users, while the Mac Studio targets customers with particularly demanding creative, development and AI workloads.
