In Bengaluru, a wave of enthusiasm for science is transforming the city’s educational landscape, fueled by the popularity of online educational content and a growing demand for interactive learning. Post-pandemic, three new science experience centres have emerged, combining engaging exhibits with cutting-edge technology to make learning enjoyable for all ages.

Among the city’s young science enthusiasts is Zara, a five-year-old who already finds science thrilling through her visits to local science galleries. Her older brother Aryaan, 10, shares her excitement, noting how these centres help him grasp complex concepts like the Fibonacci sequence and kinetic energy.

Parents are equally thrilled, finding these centres a valuable educational resource. Muskaan and Syed from Hebbal take their children to science galleries regularly, noting the boost in curiosity and knowledge it provides. Kiran Bhasker from Sarjapur sees these visits as a way to bond with his children while enriching their understanding of scientific principles. Shenaz, a homemaker, views these centres as crucial for inspiring her daughter and showcasing diverse career paths in science.

The Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM), a longstanding gem, continues to attract over a million visitors annually with its interactive exhibits. Newer centres like Curiouscity Science Discovery Centre and Science Gallery Bengaluru offer fresh, immersive experiences, with the latter focusing on contemporary research.

The recently opened Param Science experience centre’s ParSEC in Jayanagar has quickly gained popularity, emphasizing science as a lifestyle. These centres are not just educational spaces but are shaping the future of science learning in Bengaluru.
