Hubballi-Dharwad: The twin cities are set to embrace cutting-edge digital twin technology, with Genesys International securing a ₹21.45 crore contract from the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC). This initiative aims to enhance governance, improve infrastructure, and optimize property tax collection through advanced 3D mapping.

As part of the New India Map Stack, Genesys will develop a high-precision 3D model of the city across 11 zones (₹1.95 crore per zone). This will identify unregistered properties, modernize taxation systems, and boost municipal revenue. The GIS-based platform will further aid in traffic management, disaster response, and urban planning.

Genesys has successfully deployed Digital Twin models in Ayodhya, Dharavi, Mecca, and Varanasi, and now aims to revolutionize Hubballi-Dharwad’s urban management.

The National Geospatial Policy, 2022 (NGP 2022) supports such initiatives by liberalizing data collection, promoting private sector participation, and fostering digital infrastructure to create a National Digital Twin for smart governance.
