NAMAKKAL / VIRUDHUNAGAR: Rasipuram in Namakkal district and Virudhunagar are set to emerge as promising IT hubs in Tamil Nadu, as the state government has invited tenders for the construction of mini Tidel Parks in both locations. These projects are expected to significantly boost local employment and attract IT investments.
According to official sources, the upcoming mini Tidel Park at Rasipuram will be built at a cost of ₹34.75 crore. The structure will include a ground floor and three upper floors, and is expected to be completed within 12 months. Once operational, the facility will create job opportunities for approximately 500 individuals, including over 500 IT professionals.
Similarly, a tender has been floated for the construction of a mini Tidel Park in Virudhunagar. This project is projected to provide employment to around 500 people, with a strong focus on the technology sector.
Tenders have also been called for the selection of consultants to prepare detailed designs and site maps for the projects.
These initiatives are part of the Tamil Nadu government’s larger vision to decentralize IT development and create tech employment opportunities beyond traditional urban centres like Chennai and Coimbatore.
Once complete, both parks will be equipped with modern infrastructure to host tech startups, service providers, and IT companies, marking a new chapter in regional development.
