Motorola has announced the upcoming launch of its more affordable Moto Razr 50 flip phone in India, following the introduction of its high-end Moto Razr 50 Ultra.

The new Motorola Razr 50 will offer a budget-friendly alternative to its premium counterpart, while maintaining key features of the flip phone design. Although Motorola’s flagship Moto Razr 50 Ultra received the spotlight first, the standard Razr 50 promises to bring a compelling package to those seeking a more cost-effective option.

The Moto Razr 50’s design closely resembles the Razr 50 Ultra but features a slightly smaller outer screen. The teaser has highlighted that the new model boasts a larger 3.6-inch poled outer display and a 6.9-inch inner screen with Full HD+ resolution and 3,000 nits of peak brightness, allowing users to perform various tasks without unfolding the phone.

In China, the Razr 50 features a dual-camera setup on the outer screen and a single rear sensor when the phone is opened. The camera configuration includes a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a rear setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, supported by optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Under the hood, the Motorola Razr 50 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor and is equipped with a 4,200mAh battery. The device supports 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. These specs indicate a robust performance and efficient power management for users.

The exact launch date and pricing for the Moto Razr 50 in India are yet to be confirmed. However, considering the pricing of its counterpart, the Razr 50 Ultra, which is priced at Rs 99,999 in India, the standard Razr 50 is anticipated to be significantly cheaper. In China, the Razr 50 Ultra is priced at CNY 5,699 (approximately Rs 65,470), while the standard Razr 50 is priced at CNY 3,699 (around Rs 42,496).

Motorola has hinted that the Razr 50 will be available soon, but detailed information regarding the exact release date and Indian pricing is awaited. For the latest updates, follow India Today Tech.
