New Delhi: OnePlus is set to launch the OnePlus N6 Lite in India on September 22, adding another smartphone to its N-series lineup. The company has revealed the launch date along with several details about the phone, including its large battery, display, durability features and AI capabilities. However, the handset’s price, launch offers and open-sale details will be announced on the launch day.

The N6 Lite is positioned as a budget-focused smartphone and will join the OnePlus N6, which was launched earlier as the first device in the company’s new N-series. While the OnePlus N6 comes with an 8,000mAh battery, the upcoming N6 Lite will feature a 7,000mAh battery.

OnePlus N6 Lite launch date and availability

The OnePlus N6 Lite will officially launch in India on September 22, 2026. OnePlus has not yet disclosed the phone’s India price or launch offers.

The company has confirmed that the handset will be available through the OnePlus website, OnePlus Store app, Amazon, OnePlus Experience Stores and select retail outlets. Details regarding the open-sale date are also expected to be announced during the launch.

7,000mAh battery promises long usage

Battery capacity is one of the major highlights of the OnePlus N6 Lite. The smartphone will feature a 7,000mAh battery, with OnePlus claiming that it can provide up to three days of usage on a single charge.

According to the company, the phone can deliver up to 26.8 hours of video playback, around 29.9 hours of Google Maps navigation and up to 49.7 hours of phone calls.

The battery also supports wired reverse charging, allowing users to charge compatible accessories and other devices using the smartphone.

OnePlus further claims that the battery can retain more than 80 per cent of its health after six years. It has reportedly been tested for 1,600 charge cycles. These figures are company claims and actual battery life can vary depending on usage and other conditions.

6.75-inch 120Hz display

The OnePlus N6 Lite will feature a large 6.75-inch display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate.

The screen will also include OnePlus’ Aqua Touch technology. The feature is designed to improve touch responsiveness when the display or the user’s fingers are wet or affected by moisture and oil.

The large display and high refresh rate are expected to make the phone suitable for video consumption, scrolling and everyday smartphone use.

8.95mm thickness despite large battery

Despite packing a 7,000mAh battery, the OnePlus N6 Lite measures 8.95mm in thickness and weighs approximately 215 grams.

OnePlus is also highlighting the phone’s durability. The handset carries MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification, with the company positioning it as capable of handling everyday bumps and drops.

The smartphone will be offered in two colour options: Midnight Hype and Neo Green.

AI features and long-term software experience

The N6 Lite will also include several AI-powered features. These include AI Clear Face and AI Eraser, aimed at helping users improve and edit photographs.

The smartphone will also support Google Gemini, allowing users to use Google’s AI assistant for everyday tasks, information searches and exploring ideas.

OnePlus is additionally offering its 36-Month Fluency Protection feature, which is designed to maintain a smooth user experience over a longer period.

Price to be revealed on September 22

OnePlus has not announced the India price of the N6 Lite yet. The company is expected to reveal the pricing, launch offers and open-sale details at the September 22 launch event.

The upcoming phone will compete in India’s crowded budget smartphone segment, where battery capacity, display refresh rates, durability and AI features have become increasingly important selling points.

With its 7,000mAh battery, 120Hz display, reverse charging support and durability-focused design, the OnePlus N6 Lite is set to add another option to the company’s expanding entry-level portfolio. More details about its specifications and pricing are expected to be confirmed when the smartphone officially launches in India.
