Shivamogga : Visitors to the Tyavarekoppa zoo-cum-safari can now enjoy an immersive wildlife experience with the launch of Zoo Vista, a first-of-its-kind VR facility in Karnataka. Introduced on World Wildlife Day (March 3), this virtual reality feature offers a close-up view of tigers, lions, bears, and leopards.
An unused mini-bus within the zoo has been transformed into a mini-theatre, where guests can wear special VR glasses and feel as though they are among the animals. The 10-minute video showcases animal behavior and emotions from an intimate perspective, with plans to extend the duration based on visitor feedback.
Zoo Executive Director Amarakshara M V stated that the screening runs daily, free of charge, aiming to provide a unique experience for wildlife enthusiasts. The zoo is also gathering audience suggestions for future enhancements.
Additionally, a Public Relations Officer (PRO) has been appointed to promote the zoo’s animal adoption program and assist visitors with queries.
