Mangaluru– In a heartbreaking incident late Tuesday night, two young men lost their lives in a devastating road accident at Jeppinamogaru.
The victims have been identified as Aman Rao and Omshree Poojary. The tragic mishap occurred while they were on their way back from Talapady after having dinner. Reports suggest their car was involved in a severe crash at Jeppinamogaru, leading to their untimely demise on the spot.
Eyewitnesses mentioned that the impact of the collision was intense, leaving no chance for rescue. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal incident.
Omshree Poojary held the post of vice president in the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Dakshina Kannada District Committee. Known for his dedication to political and social causes, Omshree was actively engaged in community welfare and student leadership.
His sudden death has shocked many, especially within political and student circles. Friends and party members have expressed deep sorrow over the loss of such a promising leader.
To pay homage, MLC Ivan D’Souza visited the hospital where the bodies were kept, offering condolences to the grieving families and acknowledging the contributions of Omshree to society and student politics.
This tragic accident has once again raised concerns over road safety and late-night travel hazards in the region.
