A man who attempted to steal a cell phone from a train passenger by breaking through the window ended up hanging outside and had to learn a hard lesson. After his attempt to steal the phone failed, the thief is seen hanging from the moving train in a now-viral video of the incident.
It is claimed that the undated video originates from Bihar, where reports of people being snatched through train windows are commonplace. The man tried to steal something from the moving train, according to the video’s caption, but an attentive passenger inside the compartment grabbed him by the hand and left him hanging by the window. He attempted to escape, but other passengers grabbed hold of him as well, leaving him hanging from the moving train.
“A snatcher attempted to steal a passenger’s phone from a moving train in Kalash near Bhagalpur, Bihar but was unsuccessful. The passenger caught the snatcher and carried him hanging for approximately a kilometer,” the video captioned on X.

A thief in Bihar attempted to steal a passenger’s phone through the window in a similar incident that occurred in 2022 while the train was stopped at the Sahebpur Kamal station. But as the train pulled out of the station, vigilant passengers seized him by the arm and held on to it. After traveling for about ten kilometers, the train approached Khagaria, at which point he was eventually released. Reporters were told by locals that he fled.
