A family of three became stuck as well when the elevator in a high-rise building in Greater Noida decided it was sick of being just a vertical transportation device and fancied a leisurely pause on the first floor.
With plates of chole bhature in hand, the family, anticipating a smooth ride to their apartment, were caught off guard in an elevator stand-off that lasted an astounding thirty minutes.
Button for emergencies? forced. constructing security? Radio quiet. It appears that in the modern era, even elevators are adopting the practice of ghosting.
One of the family’s quick thinkers called their neighbor, demonstrating that community spirit wins the conflict between being “trapped vs. trapped.”
The neighbour’s call to the main gate guards is like the cavalry charging in to save the day, armed with a set of keys and the determination to free the family from their metal prison.
