In a strange incident that unfolded in Hyderabad, a 30-year-old man named Sai Kiran swiped a Porsche belonging to the son-in-law of a well-known Telugu film producer. The luxury car, owned by Archith Reddy, son-in-law of producer Dil Raju, vanished from the premises of an upscale hotel where Reddy had parked it while he hit the gym.
The daring theft occurred when Reddy left his red-colored Porsche worth a staggering Rs 2 crore unattended in the hotel parking lot. Seizing the opportune moment, Kiran, who arrived on his motorcycle, noticed the car key left inside and the door conveniently unlocked. Without a second thought, he hopped in and sped away, leaving Reddy in shock upon his return.
Panicked hotel staff alerted the police, prompting a swift response. Law enforcement officers, armed with CCTV footage, embarked on a cat-and-mouse chase across Madhapur and Jubilee Hills, finally locating the pilfered Porsche. Kiran’s joyride came to a screeching halt as the police apprehended him and brought him into custody.
In a bizarre turn of events, Kiran attempted to throw the authorities off his trail by spinning a web of lies. He falsely claimed to have influential connections in the Bollywood industry and boasted of political ties with heavyweight politicians. Astonishingly, he even alleged that a minister, KT Rama Rao, had given him explicit instructions to carry out the car heist.
This daring escapade serves as a stark reminder of the audacity some individuals possess, even in the face of high-stakes consequences.
