A Pune man recently said goodbye to his allegedly toxic workplace, and it was no ordinary farewell. Aniket, a sales associate, summoned musicians to his office and danced to the beats of dhol while his boss looked on. This not-so-usual departure from the company was posted online by popular content creator Anish Bhagat.
“I think a lot of you are going to relate to this. Toxic work culture is so prominent these days. Lack of respect and entitlement is quite common,” the creator claimed.

Aniket left his three-year employment, according to Mr. Bhagat, because of a “very toxic” work environment. Aniket claimed in an Instagram video that his boss didn’t respect him and that his raise was in “peanuts.” He claimed that being “from a middle-class family” left him feeling stuck.

On Aniket’s last day, Mr. Bhagat and Aniket’s friends planned a surprise party outside his office to make Aniket’s departure unforgettable. They brought in dhols and bided their time until his manager emerged. Aniket shook his hand and said, “Sorry sir, bye-bye,” as soon as he did. He was then moving to the rhythms of the dhol. His manager attempted to halt the filming, clearly irritated.

The manager “got really pissed off” and “started pushing people,” according to Mr. Bhagat, who also said, “Now I know why (Aniket) quit.”

After visiting a temple, the group went to Aniket’s house, where Mr. Bhagat and Aniket’s friends surprised him with a cake and posters that said, “aatma nirbhar bharat” (self-reliant India). Aniket will now follow his dream of becoming a fitness trainer, Mr. Bhagat said, giving him some gym shoes as a gift. “Aniket is prepared to start his next action. I want people to be inspired by this story. Mr. Bhagat wrote, “If you’re looking for a trainer, you can get in touch with @aniketrandhir_1718.”
