In the video, Sarah casually narrated a disturbing incident, indirectly referencing the recent tragedy in Kolkata, where a trainee doctor was brutally raped and murdered. The video, which included her makeup routine alongside the narration, sparked outrage for being tone-deaf and disrespectful.
Following the backlash, Sarah quickly removed the video and issued an apology. She acknowledged that the content was distasteful and that the video did not appropriately address the gravity of the situation. In her apology, Sarah explained that the reel was shot two months ago and was intended to raise awareness about important issues, though she admitted the execution was poor. Despite deleting the post, screen recordings of the video continue to circulate online.
