A 23-year-old software engineer working at Google in Bengaluru’s Whitefield area took to social media to describe a harrowing experience involving a Rapido bike service. She alleges that reckless driving by the Rapido driver resulted in her sustaining injuries and being hospitalized. According to her post, the incident occurred on Outer Ring Road while she was traveling from Brookfield to Marathahalli multiplex.
The engineer credited her high-quality helmet for preventing more serious injuries. She expressed her decision to avoid using Rapido in the future, stating, “Never taking a Rapido bike again.” She detailed the driver’s alleged high-speed and rule-breaking behavior, including an abrupt turn without signaling, which led to a collision with a car.

Fortunately, the car driver, who collided with the bike, came to her aid. She praised his kindness and assistance during the aftermath, noting that he even lent her his slippers due to her difficulty walking in heels.
Regarding the incident, she emphasized the dangers of reckless driving and expressed relief at escaping with minor injuries. She also mentioned filing a complaint with Rapido and planning to pursue an insurance claim. She concluded her post by cautioning others against using two-wheelers if they value their safety.
