There has been a dramatic rise in people dancing in public spaces like metro trains, train platforms, and now airports, which have become popular among content creators. These acts are not only unnecessary but also cause inconvenience and discomfort to other passengers. Recently, a new video surfaced on Instagram showing an influencer dancing to a Bollywood song in the waiting area of Kolkata airport.

In the video, content creator Saheli Rudra, who has 910,000 followers on Instagram, is seen performing an impromptu dance to the Bollywood song “Lovely” from the film “Happy New Year.” Unbothered by the attention, she energetically showcases her dance moves.

Ms. Saheli captioned her video “girte girte bach gayi,” which translates to “I almost fell.”

Many people criticized her, calling the act a “public nuisance” and urging airport authorities to take action. One user commented, “At least spare the airports.” Another wrote, “After the dance, how do you handle the people who stare at you? It’s so embarrassing.”

A third tagged the airport authority, saying, “@aaiofficial kindly look into these things and implement some strict regulations to ban this nonsense immediately… I repeat, please maintain sanity for the other travelers.”

A fourth added, “Instagram should ban such reels… but unfortunately, it promotes all incorrect and indecent stuff.” Another said, “This type of nonsense can’t be tolerated, especially at the airport.”

In a similar incident, a woman was seen performing dramatic dance moves to the song “Aap ka aana” from Kurukshetra at Mumbai airport last month. The video upset many internet users, who criticized the ongoing trend and urged authorities to put an end to it.
