It’s not every day that someone finds a dangerous snake in their bedroom, but for Joey Josselson, a US Navy nuclear technician, it became an unexpected moment of ‘comfort at home.’ Josselson had a terrifying encounter when he discovered a snake hiding in his room after initially finding its shed skin.

In a video shared on Instagram, Josselson reveals the chilling moment he stumbles upon the snake skin in the corner of his bedroom, just beside his bed. The footage then follows as he searches for the intruder, only to find the giant reptile coiled behind a cabinet. In an unusual twist, Joey proceeds to pull the snake out and wraps it around his body in front of a mirror.

“It’s kind of cool, but I think I am not going to keep it. He hasn’t bitten me yet,” Josselson comments in the video. The caption reads, “You won’t believe what was hiding in my bedroom.” While many viewers were impressed by the discovery, the comments section was abuzz with humorous reactions.

One user wrote, “Beautiful non-venomous king snake!! Kills and eats other snakes that are venomous,” while another joked, “He’s like, Dude! We have been roommates for 3 months! Where the hell have you been?” Other comments included, “I have one question: are you charging them rent?” and “Bro just casually picked up a snake.” Another user provided information about the snake, noting, “Kingsnake! That’s literally one of the coolest and best snakes to have around! Non-venomous and there’s a reason they’re called kingsnakes. They eat other snakes! Including the venomous ones.”

Joey Josselson, who describes himself as a reptile keeper in his Instagram bio, is no stranger to such encounters. His Instagram feed showcases various videos of snakes and his own discoveries. Recently, he shared another video featuring a large python in his backyard, further highlighting his affinity for reptiles.

This particular encounter, however, has captured widespread attention, demonstrating not only Josselson’s bravery but also the intriguing and sometimes humorous side of living with exotic creatures.
