In the clip, three bear cubs are seen waiting for their mother, who had gone fishing nearby. Mirela explained that the cubs approached her and her group before their mother returned to lead them back into the wild.
“We were watching a sow and her cubs from a distance when they all came closer,” she wrote. “Mama bear dropped her cubs next to us before heading to fish. A few minutes later, she retrieved them and returned to the tundra.”
This was a first for Mirela, who has had other bear encounters but described this one as “mind-blowing.” She advised that each bear encounter is different, and tourists should always follow their guide’s advice to stay safe.
