Tumkur: A case has been registered against two individuals, Irshad and Ilias, for allegedly damaging the Bhagwadhwaja and threatening an auto driver during a campaign aimed at dissolving the Hindu Mahaganapati in the city. The incident occurred near the Gubbi gate, where the accused reportedly stopped the auto and verbally abused the driver.

According to the complaint filed by Siddhalinga Aradhya, the auto driver, Irshad and Ilias not only used offensive language but also physically damaged the oath tied to the auto. They allegedly threatened Aradhya, warning him to cease the campaign or face dire consequences, stating, “we will end it here.”

The police have taken the complaint seriously, registering a case against the accused based on the allegations of hatred and intimidation. Authorities are currently investigating the matter further to gather more evidence and ensure appropriate legal action is taken. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of individuals participating in public campaigns and the need for maintaining communal harmony in the region.
